New satellite required for RBR50 system
I have a Triband AC3000 system (RBR50 and RBS50) and it works well. But the time has come to expand it but RBS50 is no longer made. The latest models are all pretty expensive such as RBS350, 750, 850, etc. But will they even work with the RBR50? Plus do any of the cheaper models such as RBS40 work with the RBR50 please?
Finally, does anyone use powerline connecters to allow ethernet cable connection to satellites if the WiFi range is a step too far??
Thank you
Thank you, That resolves the purchasing decision for me!
As for Powerline adapters, agreed. But we have a garage separate from the house, [just] outside the wifi range and given the power is on the same phase in the garage, the Powerline adapter should work well for the Nest camera we want to install.
Thanks again, appreciate it

All of the original Orbi satellites work with the RBR50 system:
RBS50
RBS40
RBW30
RBS20
RB40V
RBS50Y
No other satellites will integrate with the original Orbi product (no 'Pro', no AX, not the "10" series)
Yes, a number of users have reported using Powerline to connect satellites that are outside of good WiFi range. PowerLine comes with significant challenges. It will never achieve the same performance as an ethernet cable (not even close).
