Next hardware update to the Orbi RBK50?

Hi all,

 

I am looking at buying the RBK50 AC3000 with one router and one satellite but I noticed that it was released in the autumn of 2016. Does anyone have an idea of the typical update cycle for Netgear products? Can we expect an update in 2017 or might this iteration last for awhile? Thanks in advance.

    I would not expect new hardware for a couple of years. They still have plenty of work to do on the firmware for this unit.
