Today, I received an email from Netgear stating that a new router firmware version is available for Orbi RBR50 routers. However, both the iOS app and the "Firmware Update" section in the web admi...

Ref: RBK Downloads (Click on "View Previous Versions) It looks like v2.5.2.4 was the last version before NG released "US Region only" versions. I guess they haven't implemented any way to indicate which region the hardware is located. Therefore the appropriate (US Region or NON US Region) firmware couldn't be listed in their app and this probably breaks any NG update pushes.
US Region got FCC'd?

v40 is the most current for ALL regions:
Only v2.7 versions are reported for US Region only.

While v40 could be used for any region.
At the current time, v2.7.1.60 is listed as the current version for the US region.

v60 is avaialble for manual download, however once it's installed v102 appears available on the RBRs FW update web page for upgrade. Some of uf have upgraded to v102. Working well. :smileywink:

FYI, v2.5.2.4 seems to be the last in the v2.5 line of FWs. NG hasn't given an auto update notification path to v2.6 or v2.7 from v2.5.
If users wish to update beyond v2.5, you'll need to manually download v2.6 FW files for 50 series Orbi and apply them manually over v2.5. RBS first then RBR lastly. v2.6 version is for USA and all other regions.
For users wishing to update to v2.7 versions, you'll need to manually download v60 FW files for 50 series Orbi and apply them manually. RBS first then RBR lastly. v2.7 versions is for USA region only.
If you update to v60, v102 will appear in the RBRs FW update page. Users can select the UPDATE ALL button and your RBS and RBR should update.

Otherwise, users will need to wait for NG to post manual downloadable v102 files and apply them manually at a later date when they become available or keep what you have loaded if your Orbi is working well for you.
Good Luck.
