Novice - Setting up VPN on router - Orbi RBR50
I'm a novice at this, so any help would be appreciated. Goal: I want to disguise my IP address when streaming movies. I can easily do this for this my desktop or phone using the VPN in my Norto...
My understanding of casting via chromecast is that when you cast a media stream, what you pass on to Chromecast is the data about the media source. Chromecast then streams the media directly from the source without passing through your desktop or phone. Therefore, the VPN on your desktop or phone will not shield the Chromecast IP address. Since the Chromecast is connected to my wifi, I assume the ip address will be mine.
Not many options then. Sorry
