Is the Orbi system operating in Router or AP mode?
Be sure the laptops wifi adapter drivers are up to date. If other devices are working with the RBR then the laptop needs to be checked.

Laptop wifi adapters are upto date. It is a ASUS Zenbook running windows 10. Don't have any connection issues with any other network at school or other place. It doesn't work when connected to router but works when connected to satelite so not able to conclusively determine if problem is totally with laptop.
Turn OFF the RBSs.
Configure the RBRs wifi security to disable temporarily. Try to connect the laptop to the RBR. Does it connect at all? Re-enable WPA2 and AES only.
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?

Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).Your modem has a router and wifi built in:

What mode is it working in? Router or is it bridged? Bridged would be preferred.
