Is it possible the telco in Qatar have had Netgear do something to the router so it only works on an Ooredoo fiber connection? or is there something else I can try doing?
That sounds like something to chat with Ooredoo about. When the original Orbi came out, Verizon sold the RBK50 package in stores. It was only after customers began trying to update the firmware that they discovered the firmware was locked. Only Verizon could update firmware, and Verizon had long since lost interest in the product. Ooredoo may have done something similar.
When the router was Factory Reset, did the web administration credentials change to "admin" and "password"?
The WiFi credentials would be whatever was printed on the product label, unless the original product label was covered or replaced
The region code is almost certainly not appropriate for Denmark, which might affect the WiFi channels the Orbi attempts to use.
