Orbi - slow wifi after new modem install
I had to install a new Xfintiy WIFI modem and after I re-installed my Orbi, the speeds on my Orbi decreased dramtically. My app says that it is connected but it's running very slow. I have a gigabi...
If you have a device with an ethernet port, try connecting directly from the modem to your devide and running a speed test. If that gives good results, then connect the Orbi, and try plugging your device into the Orbi and running the speed test again. You should get a comparable result. If both of those are fine, then try doing a test over wifi. For the second and third tests, you want the device you're testing from to be the only one connected to the Orbi (both over ethernet and wifi), so that other devices don't slow down the test results.
If the results are good in step 1, but much slower in steps 2 and/or 3, then you might try doing a factory reset on the Orbi and reconfiguring it from scratch, and then repeating steps 2 and 3.
