Orbi 2.4 set up for WiFi baby monitor
Hello to all. I recently purchased the Orbi RBK50. I am trying to set up my existing WIFI baby monitor. I called the monitor company and they said the baby monitors have to be on the 2.4 network for initial setup. I cannot figure out how to get the Orbi to use to 2.4 network to set up the monitors. Once set up the company said they will work on the 5 network. Any help would be apppreciated. Thanks.

You could try turning off the satellite, then moving far away from the router ( a couple rooms away), so the 5 GHz signal doesn't reach the monitor during setup. In addition, you could lower the 5 GHz power level to 25% in the Orbi GUI to further attenuate the signal levels. Then restore the power level and turn the satellite back on after setup.

I will give it a try. What is the ORBI GUI and where do I adjust that in the app. Thanks

Assuming the IP address of your router is 192.168.1.1, open a web browser, navigate to: http://192.168.1.1
Login using admin/password or whatever you set for Orbi's admin password.
There is a whole menu structure there for changing settings.
Power level is under Advanced->Advanced Setup->Wireless Settings
See page 82 of the user manual
