Orbi 2.4Ghz Outdoor Smart Plug activation

Question

I ugraded to Orbi because my ancient Airport Express & Airport Extreme is showing its age. I purchased a smart plug for my first foray into home automation. I spent hours going over the troubleshooting online in forums all over. I tried it all including lowering the 5Ghz to 25%, command line stuff, chanting and begging as well as bad language. Finally, I plugged the old Airport express in updated it in Airport utility to another name, ran through connecting it one more time and BAM, IT WORKS!
