Orbi AC3000 RBK50 router as a satellite...BUT
Wanting to add an additional satellite to my orbi mesh system. AC3000 RBK50 I read you can use a 2nd Orbi Router as an access point. I assume that utilizes the additional Ethernet ports on the back. ...
You can keep the same SSID in the additional router, but please note the following:
- You need to use other radio channels than those used in the main network, otherwise both systems will interfere with each other.
- Devices will need to roam between the two BSSID's which will consume battery. This is exactly the advantage of mesh system over Router/AP system.
