Orbi and Norton Core together

I used to have a Norton Core.  It didn't provide the whole home coverage needed.  After a year of struggle, we chose to purchase the RBR50 Orbi router and two satellites.  However, I don't have the function of whole home internet protection as I did with the Core.

Question is,  can I use the core for the whole home internet protection and then connect the orbi system to it to provice the mesh network which works well in the home now.   I need the wifi capability the Orbi provides to connect thermostates, garage door openers etc.  From what I understand (limited) it can't.    Or,  is there another product that provides this whole home internet protection I am looking for AND the wifi range.

  • Yes, you can continue to use the Core as your main router and use Orbi in AP Mode to provide you with whole home wifi coverage.
