Orbi and other Routers
Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I have to ask: One of the Orbi components is described as "the Orbi router." Does/can Orbi replace the modem that I am renting from my ISP, or does it wor...
like all routers.. it requires the modem for the connection to internet. If your ISP has provided a combo modem/wifi router, you can turn off the router function (put it in bridge mode) and disable the wifi function via the web interface, and then let a third-party router (like Orbi) handle the routing/wifi.
