Orbi as AP - Extremely poor LAN pings and packet drops
So I upgraded (??) to an Orbi RBK 50 earlier this week in the hope i will get seamless coverage on 2 floors - Regretting having brought this device now I have the device setup in AP mode with the...

So as expected, the Orbi updated itself to the latest firware (2.4.10 i think)
Surprisingly, the devices are steady and stable even after the update vs the utterly useless state they were in on the same firmware earlier. It's only been 7-8 hours so i guess i still have to wait and watch but the difference between the earlier state and now is stark!
In the last attempt that worked, what I did differently was :
1) Downgrade to 2.0.74
2) performed a full 30/30/30 reset
3) Completed the setup via a LAN cable and a broswer (and not the app)
4) Used the LAN port instead of WAN port for the RBR50
Since nothing else has changed in the setup, I can only surmise that the initial out-of-box setup that I did with an android phone and the orbi app ran into some glitches and corrupted the NVRAM or some other setting which the full 30/30/30 reset resolved.
In all previous attempts (and I tried several times), I had tried normal reset (10 seconds reset button press)
Perhaps others who have a flaky connection can also try and see if this helps.
