This mesh system is not connecting to my windstream t3200 modem.

that's because the T3200 is a modem/router combo device. You're in a double nat.

You'd either need to put the t3200 in bridged/modem only mode or the orbi in access point mode.

to put the t3200 in bridged mode, I'd contact the isp for the best way to do it.

Orbi can be put in access point mode fairly easily.
