Orbi cuts download speed . Upload speed is ok

I have my orbi wired to my ATT motorola gateway which is also a modem, I setup the Orbi as AP hoping to avoid any issues with 2 routers.  I tested the internet speed on gateway and it is 972mbps download and 958mps upload, and then i tested the speed on the orbi is only giving me 567 mbps download and 936 mps upload.  Both internet tests were done through the app, one provided by ATT and the Orbi app.  How can I improve the download speeds? Has anyone been succesful at getting 900+mbps?

    You need to factory reset the Orbi and set up from scratch again and configure AP mode. This time don't enable any other app in the Orbi. Wire connect 1 PC to the Orbi router and use a browser and do a speed test with your ISP speedtest site or speedtest.net
