Orbi device bandwidth

Our neighbour uses out network as she only visits the house a few months per year and the previous owner of our house allowed her free access.

While this does annoy me I don’t want to upset her but is there anyway of limiting her bandwidth to ensure we get decent streaming when she is logged on.

We are only on copper cable but get around 15mbps download.

We have put her on a guest network so we can turn it off when we notice we are impacted but just want to control it.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Pete

What is it on your network that gets bogged down?

You don't have many options and your 15 Mbps speed is not great.

Orbi routers do not support the sort of QoS that allows you to give priority to various services. In any case, what QoS there is, to favour voice and video traffic
over the WiFi link, is already enabled.

There is support for the Orbi WiFi System, including a manual, somewhere at the end of this link:

See if there is anything on Parental Controls that will give you any useful control.
