Orbi disconnects from internet intermittently
I bought an Orbi system with two satellites (RBR40). The Orbi disconnects from the internet every so often and, after a while, reconnects. Here's what I figured out already: 1) It's definitely th...

Have you tried a manual update to the satellite by plugging a pc directly into it?
Do you have your comcast modem bridged or modem only? Have you tried to factory reset the orbi unit?

Hi -thanks. Answers below:
Have you tried a manual update to the satellite by plugging a pc directly into it?
The satellite isn't the problem, the central Orbi router is the problem (I've tried in WAP mode and regular router mode, same problem persists). The satellites are working fine. If you're asking whether I have anything plugged into the ethernet ports of the Orbi router - the answer is yes (Philips Hue). Those devices work when the Orbi is offline. So again, we have connectivity to the Orbi itself, but the Orbi is offline for internet purposes.
Do you have your comcast modem bridged or modem only? Have you tried to factory reset the orbi unit?
I'm using an Arris modem. I've factory reset the orbi probably a dozen times now.
Thanks for your help. Is there a number I can call? The last number I called, that I thought was a Netgear service number, was not effective.

Problem still not solved and from a quick Google search, it seems thousands of customers are having the same problem. After hours of trying to get the actual phone number of Orbi support, I spent even more hours on the phone with Orbi support, who troubleshooted our way to nowhere. Now they are exchanging the physical router unit to make sure it's not a hardware problem, and after that, they are going to send me to the engineers to see if they can create firmware to solve the issue. Not very inspiring since so many are having this same problem and Netgear cannot create firmware that solves it. Good luck to anyone else having this issue - if you're within your return window, RUN DO NOT WALK to your retailer and switch out the Orbi for literally any other mesh network system.
Should the problem ever be solved I will return and update as needed.

it seems thousands of customers
Doubtful. Frustrating for you for sure, but no way there are "thousands" of customers having this issue. I don't there are "thousands" of Orbi systems deployed.

Orbi disconnects on all of my devices on wifi but everything hard wired doesn’t. There goes my $$$. Switching to the google version.- FURRYe38Feb 16, 2019Guru
The link is working for me.

There are others with good working Orbi systems. Maybe if you gave a bit more information, maybe can help you get your Orbi working.:
What Firmware is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?
Is the Orbi system operating in Router or AP mode? What is the Mfr and model# of the ethernet switch if one is in the configuration.
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials. What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
What WPA security modes are you using?Try enableding Beamforming and MIMO.
Try disabling the following and see:
Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).
