Orbi drop my PC wifi connection link rate to 6Mbps periodically

when its dropping, are you connected to 2.4ghz or 5ghz?

If you're on windows, a lot of wifi cards have an option to either prefer 5ghz or only use 5ghz (in the device manager)

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Orbi With Cable Modem products.
