ORBI Firmware not auto updates (RBR50)

I've noticed that my ORBI firmware has not auto upated.  Per the

support page for the RBR50, the latest firmware are 2.7.0.70.

I checked via both the app and the web interface - my ORBI

is showing 

  • Current Version: V2.5.1.16
  • Status: No new firmware version available.

I tried manually updating the firmware and it tells me the version

is incorrect.  I unplugged and rebooted a satellite - no change.

Any idea how to get my ORBI to detect and upgrad to the latest

firmware?

    NG isn't auto pushing to some Orbi units. 

    And you don't have to update either. if it's working, don't fix it. 

     

    If you manually download FW files, be sure to unpack the .zip file to reveal the FW files and then install them using a web browser connected to the RBS and RBRs web page using the FW manual update feature there. Edge or Firefox is recommended browser to use. 

    The release notes give information on how to manually upate FW. 

    Be sure to clear ALL browser caches before and after sending the FW files. 
    Update the RBS first, then RBR lastly. 

    Power OFF the RBS and RBR for 30 seonds then back ON after the FW updates. 


    If you experience any problems after a FW update, a reset maybe needed.
