Orbi isn not seeing a Chromebook

My son has an Acer R11 Chromebook.  When he comes home from school or has had his computer previously connected (not paused), he can connect wirelessly to my network, but his computer doesn't show up on the device list.  In addition, I have circle enabled, and with his computer paused or it is within his bedtime time off period, his computer works fine.  Only when I disconnect from the network and reconnect does it register.  Any ideas?
