Orbi Issues After Firmware Update
I updated the firmware on my RBR40 and RBS40 to latest version and they have become extremely unstable. The Orbi App periodically says it is not compatible with my router, which seems very odd. The RB...

Please try a factory reset and setup from scratch with the RBR and RBS.
Power OFF The ISP Modem as well for 30 seconds then back on. Walk thru the setup wizard and be sure to write down all important information. Be sure not to enable Armor, Circle, Access Controls, QoS or Traffic Meter on the RBR.
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).

I tried re-installing the firmware upgrade and it didn’t help. Frequent dropping of internet connection and weird things like mobile browser pulling up what looks like a router management login rather than the website for the entered URL.
Any input would be appreciated.
- OrangeBlueMay 04, 2020AspirantThe satellite is connected via Ethernet. System was incredibly stable until I updated it.

Is the RBS connected directly to the RBR or connected to a switch? If a switch is in the mix, what is the mfr and model# of this switch?
Be sure Daisy Chain is disabled if you have the RBS connected via ethernet.

I turned off daisy chain, but no difference.
