Orbi Issues with Metronet Fiber
I have a weird issue going on that I can’t quite figure out. I switched from Xfinity Gig Speed (wasn’t fiber) and am now using Metronet Gig Speed fiber network. I never had these issues with Xfinity, so I’m thinking it has to do with Metronet.
For some reason both my satellites keep disconnecting after a few minutes, and then they’ll reconnect, even with one connected through Ethernet. I’ve reset my Orbi twice now and made sure the router and satellites are all updated to the latest firmware.
All my devices that are connected to the satellites will drop internet, but the main router will not. Any ideas on why this would be happening? I’m tempted to cancel Metronet and go back to Xfinity, this is driving me crazy. Or buying a new Orbi set to see if it has something to do with the main router...

If a satellite disconnects, then every device on the satellite will lose internet (wired or WiFi). No link = "no link".
Do the satellites have IIP adddresses "assigned" to them?
Do you keep the Orbi logs? (I have the log emailed to me each time it fills up and accumulate them in one big file.)
If so, does it show the satellites being assigned IP addresses after each reconnection?
I agree that "when only one thing changes, that thing must be the problem." However, it has often slipped my mind that something else changed that didn't seem significant to me at the time.
