Orbi LBR20 won’t connect to my home smart devices

I replaced my hotspot Netgear MR1100 with the Orbi LBR20 and now my smart thermostat and smart light switches won’t connect to the internet. Everything worked fine with the hotspot. Any help would be ...

Is there any error message when you try to connect the home smart devices?

Have you tried resetting the home smart devices?

No error message, they see the router but when I put the encryption code in they won’t connect. Is there some sort of firewall built into the Orbi and it thinks that it’s not safe to connect? I have no idea...it’s aggravating. I spent all this money on smart devices and they are basically useless now.
