Our teams are still working through the issues, but I wanted to provide a quick update on OrbiOS 2.1. We usually wait to release our software until it's available across all Orbi product lines, but ...

What are you ISP Speed UP and Down that you pay for?
Have you contact NG support with your results regarding what your seeing with the new FW? I would and let them know.

I tried both ways. It was confirmed that the modem is goving out excellent speeds constantly but my rbk53 unit is giving lower speeds and this is because of these firmwares. The older firmwares are giving same fast speeds as the modem. My old unit once Netgear made me switch out get a new one... Support gave me a beta firmware about 1 month ago but same issues so I sticked to the firmware they removed 2.0.1.7 i think ... the speeds were perfect plus I had wired backhaul. Then my system crashed randomly and I got this new firmware. Now were back to slow speeds Im 100% its a firmware issue.

At best you might see 400-500Mb on wireless. This also depends on your client HW and what they support for thruput speeds. Not all devices support high speed thruput. Ensure that your ethernet speeds are to spec which they should be. Wireless has many factors that contribut to inaccurate speed testing. Wired speed testing is preffered always.

- Sevo123Apr 03, 2018ApprenticeMy wire i use is a cat6e which supports 10 gbps from orbi satellite to router and the wire from my modem to orbi is cat 7 ... keep in mind my speeds with same wires and wireless I was getting about 400-480 mbps with 2.0.1.7 but with these newer updates slower speeds. I tried last time using the beta firmware same issue then switched back to 2.0.1.7 speeds went back up.

Ok making sure. Give this info to NG support. Seems there is an issue in FW on your unit.
Keep us posted.
