Continually having Wifi dropouts and the satellites going offline after the lastest f/w. My advice is to add the price of frustration to the cost of the unit for the total cost to get the bigger picture.

Hello dmw15
Have you tried to revert back to the 2.0.1.4 firmware and see if the dropouts stop happening?

Actually I've kept it at 2.1.2.18 as I've seen from other forums that even if you downgrade it keeps automatically upgrading to 18. I also think I saw where Netgear is working on a fix, but hopefully that will come sooner rather than later. I just get frustrated when something is working good and then an update comes through and messes it up (sounds all too familiar like Windows 10). Plus I have almost $600 invested in this, so walking away now would be a disappointing waste of money.

This is not correct. I downgraded to V2.0.1.4 six days ago and neither my base station or satellites have auto-upgraded to 18.

The 2.1 firmware was pulled from the auto update server so the Orbi will not automatically update past 2.0.1.4 right now.

Thanks for the info. Is 2.0.1.4 the best version to revert back to?
