Alas, this is not the first such report. Netgear lists this as IP66:
Which is supposed to indicate:
Maybe "limited ingress permitted"?
If it is less than one year old, one would think a warranty claim is in order.

Does it still work?
And is it still within warranty?
If its not in warranty, I'd take it apart and dry it out thoroughly (before checking if it still works)
- iteamsDec 06, 2022AspirantThese units should have been recalled. They are a total fraud and we're not sealed at all. Netgear should take them all back and replace them. Mine is totally dead. These units were not built to the standard advertised.

Mines worked fine and been outdoors in minnesota weather.
I have seen reports of users with issues and they tend to be in area's of fairly extreme weather that cause gaps/issues.
