I've been doing some digging and managed to find the UpAgent.log file which shows when the connection drops. I can then see the auto_fw_upgrade_log file which shows an entry 'AUTO FW CHECK: power cycle', at the time that it all went down.
Anyone know if this power cycle can be caused when the internet connection drops, or what else might be triggering it?
As far as I am aware, only a loss of power or deliberate act by the user will cause the Orbi to power cycle.
Does the regular Orbi log show the system restarting?
The message should be something like this:
[Initialized, firmware version: V2.7.2.106] Tuesday, April 20, 2021 23:13:16
Does the regular Orbi log show internet connecting or disconnecting?
[Internet connected] IP address: 172.249.112.236, Tuesday, April 20, 2021 23:13:17 [Internet disconnected] Sunday, April 25, 2021 14:16:29
(These dates are not significant. I email every Orbi log to myself and create an Excel file for each month. To find these entries, I sorted the entire file to find what the log messages look like. It appears the last time I restarted my Orbi was April 20.
