Orbi QoS and Speedtest
Got a question about using the Speedtest function on Orbi RBR50. FW am pretty sure is 2.7.3.22.
I have recently done a factory reset and rebuilt my network from scratch after retiring a double Nat setup. Have UK Virgin Media Hub4, providing 1gb connnection. Orbi network has 2 RBS50s in addition to RBR50/
Having read a post or two on here about the way QoS works (or doesn't work), I wanted to try to get a definitive answer on whether or not to run the Speedtest in Advanced>Setup>Speedtest and what impact this may/may not have.
Does this drive the QoS and is it worthwhile doing so to optimise performance?
Thanks

None of us customers have any knowledge of what Orbi firmware does in the area of QoS. There are parameters in the configuration that appear to set traffic to three different priorities based on TCP/UDP ports. As far as definitive, I think that's not going to happen.
Orbi's speedtest function is simply a version of the Ookla html code. Running it (or not) has no effect on anything.
