orbi rbk13 question on mounting to the wall

I bought the cubes and I was curious if I could mount the router and satellites on their side.  I want to mount them on the wall but I don't want to lose to much in performance.  I placed these in a beach house so I need to mount them for security reasons.

Thanks

I would hope that the security deposit would cover somebody making off with these.  The WiFi system might be the easiest thing to verify was not damaged/stolen when someone departs.  (Use Remote Access and see "all good".)

I would be tempted to put them inside cabinets so the power cords would not be visible on the walls.

How were you thinking of attaching the units to the wall?

      Something like this

This is a beach house that I rent out to different people.   I had a google nest that was taken so I need some sort of security or piece of mind.  If I mounted it to the wall, I just didn't know if mounting on its side would be a bad thing.

      Thanks,

It seems pretty obvious that Netgear designed them to be placed horizontally.  With omnidirectional antennas there is a pretty distinct "null" directly above and directly below the antennas.  That might cause lower signal levels in certain directions.  The only way to know for certain is set them on their sides and see what happens.  They would sit that way on any flat surface.

It would be interesting to see your concept for wall mounting.  I know there are wall mounts for the older RBR50 where the unit sits in a plastic frame.  People run the low voltage power cable up through the wall and mount the Orbi about 6-7ft. up.  It is the "secure" part that I am struggling with.
