ORBI RBK22 Security

I just bought and installed the ORBI Mini (RBK22) from Costco.

The installation went fine, however, I am noticing that I am getting a popup on my andriod phone that says the network is not secure and offers to give me a 30-day trial of some sort of security software.

What is this?   Is my network not really secure or this is just a sales pitch?

If there is a problem, how do I diagnose and fix this?

Thanks for any help.

Joe

I have a feeling its malware/adware from your phone. Do you have a screenshot of it?

    What Firmware is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?

Whats the name of the offered security software?

This would be coming from your phone and not Orbi.

Here is a screenshot of the pop-up.   The pop-up coincided with the installation of the ORBI.

I was just googling it and it might be a Verizon add-on service, just not sure why it started immediately after the ORBI installation.  I have had the phone for 2.5 years and never seen it before.

My cable modem is an Arris, Model TM1602 made for optimum.

I also updated the ORBI to latest firmware.

      Any thoughts are appreciated.

    Do you have Verizon services?

Did you get the Orbi system from Verizon?

      Yes to Verizon Cell Service.

But I bought the ORBI at Costco.

Ok, I was wondering if the Orbi was from Verizon or not.

Possible ISP can push ads thru the network.
