Hi
i bought a previously opened but new orbi rbk23 from retailer, it appears to have been registered before being returned. How can I reset settings so I can register to myself

Your analysis is correct. Netgear has no obvious method to "unregister" a product. What seems to have been successful is to send a private message to one of the system moderators (by clicking on the "at name", such as Blanca_O Moderators have an "N" after the screen name.) Netgear seems to prefer that customers not post personal information on the public forum.
I would include the relevant information.
- Who you are.
- The serial number of the product, where and when you purchased it.
Moderators seem to be able to contact someone inside Netgear who can adjust the customer product database..
p.s. I have no idea how they verify that you are not trying to "unregister" a rightful owner to mess with them or that the product is not stolen.
