Orbi Rbk30

I used the orbi rbk 30 for few days and it worked properly at the beginning, but today when I connect my iphone7 to the Orbi router, it shows the connection is 2.4G and fail to switch to 5G even I restarted my Iphone and router. However if I connect the iphone to the wall plug satellite, the connect become 5G. Please advise how to fix it, thanks.

    First make sure all your units are up to date with the latest firmware. Second you may want to go into the advanced settings of your orbi and enable fast roaming see if that helps.

     

    Advanced-Advanced setup-Wireless settings click the fast roaming box.
