Orbi RBK40 broken by latest firmware V1.12.0.18
I have had the RBK40 (RBR40 and RBS40) since April. Had constant problems with it from the first week, all documented in one place or another on this Forum. I was just about to return it for a refun...
Thanks for the clarification. I hope what I did to block any forced FW updates works since 1.11.0.20 is stable for me and finally working as it should. I don't want to risk it until I see what happens in this forum.
Yep they released it (1.12.0.20) and it did the usual havoc on my system. May as well have been a carbon copy of 1.12.0.18. I am so done with you Netgear. Yet again I have to spend an hour resetting my system to 1.11.0.20 since you refuse to give us the logical option of shutting down auto updates. Why is that so hard? Clearly some people for whatever reason have stable systems on different FW releases. Clearly one size doesn't fit all so let us keep what works!!!! Last time I checked, we were the customers who paid $300-$400 for your garbage product.
