Orbi RBK40 extending to garden room

I have had a Orbi RBK40 mesh for a few years.  It's been brilliant.

Like many others we're building a garden room and looking to get it connected.  

It's going to be about 60ft from the main house.  The router in the house is at the front.

The garden room company have asked to have power and ethernet supplied to the pod underground.  We're having some work done in the garden so that's not an issue.

 

My assumption is that all i need to do is buy an RBS50 satellite (better reccommendations welcome) and simply connect this to the ethernet connection in the garden room.  I'll then be able to connect devices in the room via wifi using the same network as the main house.  The other end of the ethernet connection will just link to the Orbi router inside.

 

1) Checking i've got the right plan. 

2) Are there any recommendations for the type of cable we should use (Cat 6 i've heard is best and gel filled to protect it underground)

3) Am i coming at this the right way?  Would a point to point set up be easier/more reliable/better?  If so, any pointers here would be brilliant

An RBS50 satellite would be a good choice to extend out to the garden room. You have other choices as well, if available

Regarding running cable, cat6 is a good choice. If you are going to bury it, either use burial grade cable or run it in pvc pipe to make it last longer.
