Thank you FURRYe38 and Mstrbig
i've been looking around and wondering if getting an RBS50Y outdoor extender would be a better and simpler option? My garden room will have an Apple TV in it to run Zwift and a Sonos speaker but nothing else really. The cost and complication of running an Ethernet cable from my house (router is in the middle of the house, not next to a perimeter wall) isn't insignificant but i do have to put a power line in the ground anyway so it's not a totally binary choice.
You can get one of the extenders for £300 but I'd worry that i could wait , install it and it not be enough for what we need and missed the chance to have a wired alternative.
I have a RBK40 with one satellite upstairs that would probably be the bridge to the garden. The garden room is 35-40m away from the satellite - not really seen much about how far the outdoor extender will reach.
Any advice welcomed. :smileyvery-happy:
