Orbi RBK50-100NAS Cat 6

Hi

 

I think my contractor made a mistake and didn't run the CAT 6 ethernet cable next to an outlet for my router. I know I can power cmaeras and other items off of the PoE but can I power the AC3000 router entirely off the Cat 6 PoE?

    plemansis correct that Orbi routers require an electrical power source (whatever the "mains" voltage is in the country).  I am confused by the question.  Were you asking, "my contractor ran a Cat6 cable to where I want my Orbi router, but forgot to install an electrical outlet? So, can I power the Orbi over the Cat6 because there is no electricity?"
