Orbi RBk50 and Negear EX8000
Hello, I'm trying to decide what my best course of action would be for incorporating the EX8000 to an Orbi router and satelite. I have a set of Zyxel AV2000 powerline adapters and I'm wondering i...

I'm the type that likes things to be optimal and I'm also the type that hates to store relatively expensive equipment in the closet. Ultimately I would like to incorporate this into my network, as long as it isn't detrimental.

I do and I don't. Does it make sense to connect it via ethernet and run it in AP mode or will it perform better or just the same just as an extender? Obviously if it is going to do nothing but cause problems, I can throw it in storage. Have you personally tried to use the extender with the Orbi before and that is how you now it causes problems or do you know of instances where these two don't coexist?

That would be my choice.
For a start, a wired link is usually better than a wifi link. The extender would be best used to reach a remote area that is outside the Orbi's range. And if you think about it, if the Extender can see the Orbi's wifi other wifi clients can probably see the Orbi too.
Then there is the possible incompatibility issues with the Orbi's mesh system and the extender.
If you have the hardware, why not do some tests?
