Orbi RBK50

I have the Orbi RBK50 and I am experiencing slow internet speeds still. We have the best internet speed from Cox so I decided to purchase Orbi + Satellite. The WiFi speeds did not seem to change. I set everything up just how the booklet says and I have a blue light on the satellite so I know it’s connected to the router. I registered the product and even bought a Arris Surfboard modem that handles speeds up to 1.4 Gbps Download speeds. My question is, am I missing something? My WiFi is working but still feels the same speed, my friend experiences 150-350 mbps download constantly yet I’m stuck here watching my X Box one download at no higher then 10-50 mbps.

    What FW are you using on the Orbi system?

    What is the model# of the ISP modem the Orbi is connected too? 

     

    How are you testing speeds? Wired or Wireless? Wired is preferred for any speed testing.

    Speed testing with the speedtest on the router or thru a wired PC and web browser?

      The model number for the Arris is SB6190. I test through the Orbi app on speeds, not sure of another way besides the computer which I’ll have to set up. I don’t know what FW means though.
