Orbi RBR 20 Wifi speed is 1% of what Orbi shows (6mb vs. 900mb)
When connecting to the Internet through Orbi, my 1Gigabyle internet speed from ATT Fiber goes down to 6mb. My Arris BGW210-700 from AT&T is in IP pass through mode with all radios disabled. Arris sho...

I restarted my Mac and it connected to the Orbi Sattelite at 5ghz. I'm now getting 256mb. I also move the Orbi satellite away from a Sonos speaker to minimize interference. So hopefully, that did the trick.
Thanks for your insights! I'll let you know if things act up again.

Thanks for the quick reply. Orbi is running Firmware V2.5.1.16. I did not do a factory reset and set up again after applying the Firmware update. Is that typically necessary?
I tested the wired speed to my iMac and the RBR (non-satellite) Orbi and it was 450mb on Speedtest. I then checked the wireless speed from the iMac to the Orbi RBR (non-satellite) and it was 250mb. So the main router seems to be working well. It might just be when I'm connected to the sattelite.
As for putting Orbi in Passthrough, I'm using Disney Circle, so the Orbi needs to do the routing.
Let me know if you have other ideas. Maybe it's an issue with the RBR's connection to the RBS.

Yes, maybe needed.
What are the wired and wireless speeds at the RBR?

I just realized my computer is connecting to my main RBR20 router at 2.4gz vs. the satellite at 5gz. My phone is connected to the satellite at 5gz and is getting good speeds, but my Macbook air, 12 inches away, is connecting to the main router which is across the house. So maybe that's part of the issue. I can't see how to get my laptop to connect to the satellite vs. the main router.
Also, the speeds that I shared earlier were from the main router. I didn't realize I should have been testing the satellite. I need to find a mac network cable adapter for my laptop before I can test that one. The main router is near my iMac which has a network cable port.

Ah that would be a factor.
