Orbi RBR 50 and speed issues

Question

I have had an ORBI RBR50 for several years running worth Netgear CM700 modem. I recently upgraded from Comcast 175/5 Mbps to 1gb/35mbps plan. I notice that both the worked and wireless connections run about 550mbps down and 6mbps up. I am not bothered by the download speeds because I understand the inherent limitations. What I dont understand are the upload speeds seemingly being capped at 6mbps. I factory reset and same issue persists. Should I roll back to older firmware. It is currently running 2.3.5.30. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Did you factory reset the modem while powering OFF the RBR for 1 minute then back on?

I recommend you update to v2.5.1.8 on the Orbi system. I get near 900Mpbs Down and 50Mpbs UP with my RBK50.

I did not factory reset the modem. I can do that. I did update to 2.5.1.8. Although it put Netgear Armor on automatically which I note from other posts you suggest disabling. I cannot determine how to disable it since the upgrade to 2.5.1.8.

I will try the modem reset while the RBR and it's sattelites are powered down.

All access control software like Armor, Circle or Default Access controls seem to have problems in speed with 1Gb services. I don't use any of these features. I would reset the RBR and setup from scratch, this time do no enable Armor or Circle or any access controls. You should see near 900Mpbs on the down and to sped for you speed on the UP.&nbsp;

I did the factory reset and no luck. I am thinking at this stage it's the CM1100 you use vs the CM700 I use that is the problem. Mine is docsis 3.0 and yours is docsis 3.1. I don't beleive that the 3.0 is inherently limited there but I believe how the bootfile is written by Comcast they are only accounting for four of the eight channels that are available. I may see if that makes Tre difference. I do see 600 - 700mb down at times upload always pegged at 6 though.

May I also ask what Internet provider you have. I use Comcast Xfinity. Again I think it has to do with their bootfile. We plugged in their branded Docsis 3.1 and it was getting 30mb upload yesterday. In theory the CM700 should handle but since it isn't directly supported (although it's certified by them) it seemingly doesn't handle higher speeds on upload.
