Orbi RBR 50 Verizon FIOS
I purchased Orbi RBR50 with a single satellite RBS50 directly from verzion back in 2018. I was not aware at the time that Verizon has it's own proprietery firmware V2.1.4.16_1.0.0.11 on these dev...
Even though the hardware came from NG, It's Verizons FW that they develop and install on the NG hardward. So Verizon needs to be contacted to see about FW issues regarding there FW. NG doesn't handle this after Verizon puts there FW on Orbi systems.
The main issue is that for Orbi RBS to work right, the FW has to be using same version of FW on the RBS thats on the RBR. Otherwise the RBS won't sync correctly. You might ask them about installing Verizon FW on a NG RBS if they support that.
I presume native stock NG RBS any model will not sync to Verizon FW based Orbi. You can try EX7500/7700 or 8000 extenders and see if these will connect though may work, won't work as same as RBS do.
