ORBI RBR 50 won't connect to Google Home Mini's

I go through all the screens and it connects to the mini but as soon as I enter the wifi password it says it can't connect to the ORBI 50. There seems to be security from the router that blocks it at...

Hmmm. The Nest Mini that I bought at Home Depot connected first time using the Google Home app.

It has been several months, so I do not remember exactly how it went. I have attached it to two different Orbii routers and do not recall any problems.
