Orbi RBR10

I have a RBR10 Router with 2 satelites. It keeps dropping 4-5 times a day. the only thing in the logs is that [WLAN access rejected: incorrect security] from MAC address 00:26:e8:76:00:44, Sunday, April 17, 2022 11:51:46

I've looked this up and we have nothing from the manufactor.

Can anyone help please? I am on the latest firmware version

This appears very similar to when a WiFi device is set to create a private MAC address.

    Here's a description from Apple:

Android, Windows laptops, tablets, etc. have similar features that can be turned on or off in Settings.  Personally, I find this 'feature' a royal pain in the (place) and deliberately turn it off.

There should be a device with a hardware MAC address almost identical to this one.

My guess is it was an attempt to connect, but the password had a typo.  Probably has nothing to do with the primary issue.

I have similar problems with roaming. Devices keep losing internet until I shutdown the nearby satellite and get closer to the main router.

My two satellites are useless! Very disappointing.

        Hello KamaIM,

Please turn off your private IP address if you are using an iOS device then add the device back to the network.

To turn off the Private IP address please follow the directions listed below:

        Open "Settings"
        "Wi-Fi"
Select the "i" icon next to your connected network
        Toggle off "Private Wi-Fi Address"

        Best,
        Kevin
