ORBI RBR20... a very expensive brick?
Full disclusure.. I'm mainly here to vent, since i've since tries all the solutions I could find on this website.
I got the ORBI Router & Satellite set from amazon and tried to set it up with a Huawei router... and that was a week agao.
At the end of the install steps via app the ORBI network could not be found. I can see the orbi network on Wifi, but the given network password would not work. I tried three factory resets (two blinking amber, one solid red) to no avail. I tried power cycling and repeating the installation steps several times. both the router and satellites seem to be working fine.
I tried accessing the router via a computer (disconnected from all networks and attached to the router via cable) but it could not find either 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.0.1
I tried login in to the visible ORBI network via cell using any combination of usernames and passwords suggested on this website (admin, the factory network password, the word 'Password' and the credentials for my Huawei network).
As far as I can tell I am sitting on three very expensive bricks... which was a disappointment since I've had great satisfaction with other Netgear products in the past years.

Connect 1 wired PC or laptop to the back of the RBR. Disconnect the RBR from any ISP Modem/ONT. Press the reset button for 15 seconds then release. When you see the top ring slowly pulsate ON and OFF, try to access the RBRs web page at 192.168.1.1 with a web browser...

I'm afraid to say that is one of the first things I tried.
192.168.1.1 could not be found, same for 10.0.0.1... this is from a completely isolated PC, no internet or other router access and trying to access a factory reset ORBI Router, all satellites powered down.
By all intents something should display on those adressess... which is why I'm baffled.
