Orbi RBR20 does not have wifi internet while connected to a switch
After so many factory resets i finally figured out why i keep losing my wifi internet. My home network looks like this: COX > MODEM (CM1100) Port 1 > ORBI RBR20 INTERNET PORT > ORBI ETHERNET ...
Not to confuse anyone.
COX > MODEM (CM1100) Port 1 > ORBI RBR20 INTERNET PORT
ORBI ETHERNET PORT > SWITCH
As soon as i remove the connection to the switch and connect all device to wifi alone then it starts working again.
People have reports issues with some green switches or managed switches.
What switch do you have?
I have the netgear prosafe GS108.
My goal is that all house hold mobile devices to be connected through wifi.
And for my desktop and laptop to be wired via switch.
Faulty switch or cabling? Try a different switch. CAT6 LAN cable is recommended.
