Every 10 minutes (i.e. 600 seconds), the internet connection is unavailable from any of my internal devices. The connection is down for 16 seconds, and then is up again, for 600 seconds, and repeats itself throughout the day (and night).

What does it show on the Advanced Tab home page when you click the Blue Box Connection Status?

I'm interested in the DHCP lease that was provided by the ISP.  Spectrum assigns me a one day lease (actually 86,400 seconds).

What DHCP lease does your ISP provide.  Does the next "service break" happen when the lease is due to expire?

There are two ways to perform a Factory Reset:

    • Totally from scratch.  Yes, this can be a substantial amount of work to enter all of the configuration information that currently exists. (In my case well over two hours, with FAR too many opportunities to make typos.)
    • Reset and Restore.  With this method, memory is "cleaned out", but the configuration is simply reloaded:
      • Use the Advanced Tab, Administration, Backup Settings to make a copy of the configuration on your computer.
      • Do the paperclip routine.
      • Connect to the web administration page.
      • Proceed through the setup, ignoring changes until you get to a page where you can Continue the setup or Load a Saved Configuration.  In particular, do  not change the SSID/password.
      • Select the option to reload, then browse to that saved configuration and reload it.
      • The router will restart and the configuration will be restored, WiFi SSID/password, security questions, all IP assignments, DDNS, etc. etc.
      • This procedure can take less than 10 minutes
