the most recent firmware for that one is 2.5.1.16.
make sure to update the satellites first.
Then update the router. After it updates, if its still having issues, try resetting and starting back from stock.
What modem are you using? (model)

I will definitelty update my firmware. Weird. I asked the orbi to check on the updated firmware and it said it was up to date. I will follow the instructions you provided. I have the MI42WR modem from FIOS. I turned off their Wifi because I have never been happy with their capability. I have used the NetGear Nighthawk for years and it has worked well but I wanted to have a mesh environment to get rid of dead spots.

I have already done some of this. I can turn my Orbi into AP mode but I was worried that part of the issues I was having with the FIOS modem was because of the fact that their NAT table was kinda small that it would become an issue with multiple devices working on the same network. With my Netgear devices handing NAT and DHCP I solve some of those issues. I have more trust in Network support from Netgear than Motorola.
