Orbi RBR20 VPN Capabilities
Hi! I am currently living in Ecuador, South America and I have the Orbi RBR20. I noticed there is a VPN option on the Orbi. I pay for a VPN service through NordVPN. Could I use Nord VPN through the Orbi so that all of my devices are able to have access to the VPN through it, or do I have to purchase another type of router for this function? I don't know much about this and any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
This is a frequent question. Orbi routers support OpenVPN to allow users to connect into the Orbi from the internet.
They do not support being a VPN "Client" where all devices inside the Orbi network use a single VPN connection TO the internet.
There are some WiFi routers that can be programmed to do this, often by loading custom firmware on the router.
