Orbi rbr40 - configuration error - can't set password on guest wifi
I have had the orbi rbr40 for several years with no issues. A few days ago when troubleshooting a connection issue with a new device, they had me go in and disable the passwords. I did so. When I went back in, I was able to turn on the password for the primary network but when I change the guest wifi back it doesn't keep it. Now I can't secure the guest network and the primary network is now saying weak security. I've rebooted everything. I have checked for updated firmware. I have done a factory reset thinking I could start over and it still will not allow me to use a password on the guest wifi. Any suggestions? I'm at a loss for what to do. I've had no issues and now I cannot get it back to allow securing the networks accurately. I've looked in forums and searched the internet for soluitions and have tried all that I have seen. Yet, nothing seems to be working.

Are you using the Orbi web interface (see page 80 of the user manual:
https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RBK50/Orbi_UM_EN.pdf )
or the Orbi 'app'?

Who is "they"? Did you contract with Gearhead for support?

The tech support for the device I was setting up asked me to turn off the passkey to see if the device was just having issues finding the network for the first time. When that did not resolve the issue, I went back into the router settings and switched it back. It worked on the primary network but the secondary network keeps reverting back to "none" for the security option.
Could you please identify the firmware release number on the RBR40?
(v2.7.4.24 is the most recent: https://kb.netgear.com/000065106/RBR350-RBS350-Firmware-Version-4-4-1-29 )
Are you attempting to modify the Guest WiFi using the Orbi web interface or the Orbi 'app'?
