- When an RBR40 is Factory Reset and not connected to anything (yes, no internet possible)
- It should broadcast the WiFi SSID/password printed on the product label (bottom of case)
- The LAN ports should have the IP address 192.168.1.1
- A web browser should be able open 192.168.1.1 and log in with credentials "admin" and "password"
- If this does not happen, then the router may have been damaged in the power outage.
- When connected to your modem and 'wired' devices get internet, the LAN IP address depends on what IP addressed was assigned to the router WAN port:
- If the WAN port has a public IP address, then the LAN ports will be 192.168.1.1
- If the WAN port has an IP in the subnet 192.168.1.x, then the LAN ports will be 10.0.0.1
- An easy way to determine this is to look at the IP Gateway address that has been assigned to the wired device
(On a PC the command ipconfig /all will display this)
